Painting the Black is a blog ran by Spencer Samelson. Spencer pitched for Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY as well as was a member of the 2012 Onondaga Community College Baseball Team that went 47-11 and was ranked as high as #2 Nationally. Spencer currently works as an Analyst for the Westchester based hedge fund Mt. Vernon Capital and currently pitches for the Semi-Professional Mt. Vernon Hawks of the Westchester Baseball Association.

Spencer has earned a B.A. in Finance from Manhattanville College, a Master’s Certificate in Sports and Law from the Jeffrey S. Moorad Center for the Study of Sports Law at Villanova University, an MBA from Syracuse University’s Martin J. Whitman School of Management and an M.S. in Negotiation & Conflict Resolution from Columbia University.
